(RED DEER, AB) – With construction underway to add 15,000 square feet to their existing facility, the Red Deer Hospice Society has decided to take a new direction for their 2019 annual Gala.
“Between construction efforts making space a premium and additional considerations for the $5.2 million Expansion Fundraising Campaign underway, we knew it was a unique year. We wanted to be responsive and respectful to our donors and our sponsors but also have some fun with it,” shared Lori Dufresne, Red Deer Hospice Event Coordinator.
With the launch of the NO SHOW Gala for 2019, Red Deer Hospice is still looking for Gala attendee and public support by asking them to purchase a $25 ticket and then not show up! The ticket offers purchasers the opportunity to win one of three great prizes plus an early bird prize for tickets purchased by January 31, 2019:

The NO SHOW Gala raffle campaign will run for six months in honor of the six new resident care rooms being created through the Hospice Expansion. “Those rooms will allow us to serve an additional 100 residents annually,” says Hospice Executive Director, Evelyn Storm. The expansion also provides enhanced family areas, expanded kitchen and medication room, multi-purpose areas for respite care and day programs and a 2nd story to accommodate administration staff.
