No enthusiasm, no movement—just media spin trying to sell a Liberal comeback that doesn’t exist
Liberals Picks Mark Carney as their new leader and Calls It ‘Historic’—But Let’s Look at the Numbers
Oh, look—it’s the biggest non-event in Canadian politics: the Liberal Party leadership race! The CBC, bless their little subsidized hearts, have been hyping this up like it’s some kind of monumental moment for democracy. Like Canada is holding its breath to see who will replace Justin Trudeau.
And listen, I’ll say this—thank God we don’t have to watch Trudeau waffle around anymore. That guy spent nearly a decade embarrassing Canada on the world stage, throwing out empty platitudes, and burdening Canadians with crushing taxes while his buddies made millions off government contracts. Good riddance.
But here’s the thing: who are they replacing Trudeau with? Enter Mark Carney. The media is desperately trying to sell you this idea that he’s some kind of outsider. An outsider! Right. Because nothing says “outsider” like a guy whose signature is literally on the country’s currency.
Even John Stewart—who, once upon a time, was a sharp comedian but is now just another Democratic Party lapdog—got on The Daily Show and actually tried to push this nonsense. During the Liberal leadership debate, Carney himself got up there and tried to gaslight Canadians, claiming he’s not a politician, just a pragmatist. A pragmatist! Oh, of course. He’s not a career political insider—he’s just a guy who ran the Bank of Canada, then ran the Bank of England, then bounced around every globalist economic institution imaginable before parachuting into Ottawa. Just your average outsider, folks.
Mark, come on. You are literally the definition of an establishment insider. You’ve been embedded in the power structure of this country for decades. You’ve been making economic decisions that affect millions of Canadians while sitting in rooms with the wealthiest elites on the planet. But now, we’re supposed to believe you’re just a humble, practical guy stepping in to help? No, Mark—you’re running to be Prime Minister. That is literally the definition of being a politician. Own it.
Let’s talk about enthusiasm—or, more accurately, the total lack of it when it comes to the Liberal Party of Canada. The media is working overtime, trying to convince you that this party is roaring back to life after Trudeau’s exit, that a “new era” has begun, that Canadians are rallying behind their fresh new leader. And yet, when you actually look at the numbers, the whole thing falls apart faster than a Liberal campaign promise.
The Liberal leadership race—the big moment where the party supposedly reinvents itself, the grand rebirth, the resurrection the media won’t stop talking about—managed to pull in a whopping 151,899 votes. That’s everyone who participated. Just to be clear, this wasn’t some exclusive club—you didn’t have to pay to vote, you didn’t even have to show any real commitment. Memberships were free. The party was practically begging people to sign up. And still, after all the hype, all the coverage, all the desperate attempts to make this seem like a big deal, they couldn’t even break 152,000 votes.

Meanwhile, let’s rewind to 2022. The Conservative leadership race—where people actually had to pay money to vote—brought in 417,987 ballots. And just Pierre Poilievre alone? 285,000 votes. Let me repeat that—Poilievre, by himself, got almost twice as many votes as the entire Liberal Party could muster. But sure, let’s pretend there’s a massive groundswell of excitement for Mark Carney, a guy nobody outside the Laurentian elite even wanted in the first place.
And here’s where it gets even better. The polling—oh, the polling. For months, the Liberals have been sinking. Before Trudeau resigned, they were floundering at 24% support. Then, magically, within days of picking a new leader, they skyrocket to 33%? A 9-point jump in the blink of an eye? Wow, what a coincidence! You mean to tell me that the same Canadians who couldn’t be bothered to sign up for a free membership, the same Canadians who have overwhelmingly turned against this party, suddenly decided they’re on board again—just because the party swapped one out-of-touch elitist for another?
No. That’s not how this works. That’s not how enthusiasm works.
This isn’t some grand Liberal resurgence. This is the Liberal-friendly media manufacturing a comeback narrative because their government subsidies depend on it. The same journalists who screamed for years about the Conservative “far-right” threat are now bending over backwards to convince you that Mark Carney is a fresh outside
And you know what? Maybe if they had actually let Ruby Dhalla into this race, they would’ve stood a chance. Seriously. I had to do a double-take when I looked at her policies—supporting small business, tough on crime, actual immigration regulation—I mean, that’s how you win the center. That’s how you stop a Conservative majority and turn it into a minority government. If they had let her run, we’d be having a very different conversation right now.
But what did the Liberals do? Oh, they disqualified her over—get this—campaign finance irregularities. But guess what? They kept the money. That’s right. The party flagged “violations,” kicked her out, and then conveniently pocketed the cash. If that’s not the most Liberal Party thing I’ve ever heard, I don’t know what is.
Instead, they’re giving us Mark Carney, a guy who has zero grassroots appeal, who has never won an election in his life, and who thinks he can waltz into power simply because the Laurentian elite think it’s his turn. That’s the play here, folks. The media is going to prop him up, the political insiders are going to rally around him, and the Liberals are hoping that Canadians just go along with it.
But here’s the truth: Canadians aren’t buying it. The numbers prove it. The excitement isn’t there. The support isn’t there. And come election time, the Liberals are going to get a very rude awakening.

Canada’s failure to push more strongly for LNG has put us in a weaker position, but there is time to recover
Earlier this month, President Donald Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba announced a joint American-Japanese venture for the Alaska LNG Project. Once built, the $44 billion project will ship gas from northern Alaska through an 800-mile pipeline to a liquefaction facility in Nikiski for export.
It is another sign that Canada needs to step up its LNG industry.
For years, Canada has been indecisive about liquefied natural gas (LNG), while others seized the moment. Now, with global demand for LNG surging and allies like Germany, Poland, and Japan needing stable energy sources, Canada finds itself left behind, and forced to regret regulatory missteps, political foot-dragging, and underestimating LNG’s long-term value.
The warning signs have been there for years. In 2022, as Europe scrambled to replace Russian gas after the invasion of Ukraine, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz personally came to Canada to request LNG exports. Instead of seizing the moment, only to be told there was no “strong business case” for Canadian LNG exports to Europe.
The same story followed with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in 2023 and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Polish President Andrzej Duda in 2024. Each time, Canada’s response was the same, with no commitment, no plan, and no urgency.
Meanwhile, others acted. The U.S. and Qatar ramped up their LNG exports, locking in long-term contracts with European and Asian buyers. Germany, despite its push for renewables, invested in floating LNG terminals, recognizing that natural gas would be essential for energy security. Canada, despite having some of the world’s largest natural gas reserves, failed to position itself as a global supplier.
Canada’s failure isn’t just about hesitation, it’s about active obstruction. The federal government’s Bill C-69, the so-called “no more pipelines” law, created an onerous and unpredictable regulatory process for major energy projects. The CleanBC plan made it clear that investment in the sector would face endless hurdles.
The results have been severe. Since 2015, Canada has seen $670 billion in cancelled resource projects, including multiple LNG terminals on the Atlantic and Pacific coasts. The Energy East pipeline, which could have supplied LNG facilities in New Brunswick and enabled exports to Europe, was cancelled due to regulatory delays. The proposed expansion of Repsol’s LNG terminal in Saint John faced the same fate. Investors, spooked by uncertainty and government hostility, took their money elsewhere.
While Canada dithered, the world moved. As Stewart Muir, CEO of Resource Works, has written, LNG is not just a “bridge fuel”, it’s a destination fuel for much of the world. Despite heavy investment in renewables, countries like China are building coal-fired power plants because they lack secure, low-emissions alternatives.
If Canada had been exporting LNG between 2020 and 2022, it could have displaced an entire year’s worth of Canada’s domestic emissions in coal-dependent countries. Instead, Canada chose climate protectionism, prioritizing domestic emissions cuts over global impact.
The irony is that Canada’s hesitation to embrace LNG has hurt the climate more than it has helped. As coal consumption rises in Asia and Europe, emissions continue to soar, emissions that Canadian LNG could have displaced. A National Bank of Canada report found that transitioning India from coal to natural gas could cut four times more emissions than Canada’s total annual output, a massive missed opportunity.
Beyond environmental costs, the economic consequences are enormous. LNG projects in B.C. have been job engines, revitalizing communities once dependent on fishing, mining, and forestry. The Atlantic provinces, struggling economically, could have experienced the same boom had LNG infrastructure been developed there. Instead, they’ve been left behind.
There’s still time for Canada to change course, but it will require a complete reversal of policy. The federal government must:
- Reform permitting and regulatory processes to make LNG projects viable and competitive.
- Acknowledge LNG’s role in global emissions reduction and align climate policies with global realities.
- Develop Atlantic LNG infrastructure to serve European markets, capitalizing on growing demand.
As Enbridge CEO Greg Ebel said at LNG2023, Canada’s allies have been “knocking on our door…to which we’ve said…no.” It’s time to stop saying no, to LNG, to economic growth, and to a cleaner energy future. If we don’t act now, we’ll be left behind forever.

We are one day away from Trump being inaugurated, the country may be thrown into 25% tariffs, in the hundreds of Executive Orders that Trump will be signing on his first days back in office as the 47th President of the United States…
And it’s hard to not notice that the Left Leaners are more focused on Premier Smith, not signing a retaliatory declaration on the United States – working to protect the economy and job base of Albertans…instead of continuing on with the actual issues that need be resolved:
- Border Security;
- Reducing Drug Trafficking.
This is what got us here in the first place…but legacy media only seemingly want to fade Justin Trudeau and the Liberal decade of failure, into the background.
If we had a government that wasn’t currently Prorogued, or that caused this through reckless policies in the first place…because of the Liberal Party collapsing due to a non-confidence vote being imminent…the Premiers of every province wouldn’t have had to try and unite…wouldn’t have had to try and put 26% (the largest portion) of the Alberta GDP, up as a lamb to be slaughtered.
“TEAM CANADA”, they screech…
“Smith has committed Treason”, they relent…
And in certain circles…this rage fest, is seemingly getting traction.
A part of this is all due to the Liberal Friendly, Legacy Media…some even due to censorship, where we full well know that through Bill C-63 – The Online Harms Act, throwing you in jail for mean tweets, or having you strapped with an ankle monitor if somebody even believes you are going to shit-post online.

Parachutes into Alberta…where apparently, him and George “The Porch Pirate” Chahal, Thelma and Louised a City of Calgary vehicle, and headed into Redmonton for their Launch Event:

And then, through the protection of Edmonton Police Services…selected a few friends to be allowed into the event…while trespassing others off of the property.

Isn’t Edmonton rife enough with Crime that their Police should be focused on, over playing private security, for a Liberal Party Launch…kicking out invited guests?
And then…let’s hop into how incredibly moronic Team Carney is…in botching not only one Logo, but also breaching copyright laws on a second…in 2 days.

Because planetary temperatures and regional weather are completely dynamic…and are controlled by that large ball of fire in the sky, we refer to as, ‘The Sun’.
It’s hard to believe that there are still some people out there who don’t recognize that when the sun is up, the temperature outside is WARMER and at night time, it’s COOLER…but yet want to blame Soccer Mom’s in their SUVs for heating up the planet.
We could talk about the other no-name failures that haven’t got the traction to even compete in this spud race…
Frank Baylis – Liberal Supporter who got the contract for ventilators that were never approved for use in Canada, that were bought for thousands and sold of as scrap metal.
Chandra Arya – who claims to be fluent in French and English, while cannot speak a word in French and can barely communicate in English…
Karina Gould – who announce her intent to run, in a Tweet on X…and then blocked comments…
But, really…why bother?
Their leadership run is as much of a catastrophe as their rein over Canada, for the last decade.
It’s so terrible, you’d almost think that they are deliberately sabotaging their own chances at winning…where at least 24 Liberal MPs have already decided that they’re going to take some time off of politics, “to spend more time with their families”.
