Generous Central Albertans Help Salvation Army Smash Record
A slow economy didn’t affect the 2016 Salvation Army Kettle Campaign. Central Albertans poured nearly a quarter million dollars into the kettles this season. Major Larry Bridger of the Salvation Army says the goal for this year was $220,000. Generous shoppers entering and leaving grocery stores and malls easily surpassed the goal, surprising organizers and setting a new record.
