Jordan Peterson slams CBC for only interviewing pro-LGBT doctors about UK report on child ‘sex changes’

The recently published Cass Review found that ‘gender medicine’ is ‘built on shaky foundations’ and recommended against surgical or pharmaceutical intervention for gender-confused children.

Dr. Jordan Peterson has condemned the government-funded Canadian Broadcasting Corporation for handpicking doctors to discuss evidence against the gender “transitioning” of children.

In an April 15 X post, Peterson blasted the CBC for only selecting pro-LBGT doctors to discuss the U.K. National Health Service’s Cass Review, which exposes the dangers of “transitioning” children through mutilating means, such as pharmaceutical drugs and surgeries.

“All the truth the unrepentant butcher-enablers at @CBCNews are capable of is invisibly hidden in this one line: ‘Canadian doctors who spoke to CBC disagree…’” he slammed.

“Right. All the ‘doctors’ who spoke to @CBCNews were chosen because they disagreed,” Peterson asserted.

“I find them detestable,” he added. “Everything they publish is a lie in one damned way or another.”

“And these lies lead to the crimes against humanity denounced by the Cass report.”

The Cass Review, published earlier this month, is the world’s largest review into “transgender” interventions for minors. Dr. Hilary Cass, the pediatrician commissioned by the UK’s National Health Service to review the transgender “services” being made available to gender-confused minors, is scathing in her analysis.

Cass found that “gender medicine” is “built on shaky foundations,” and that while these drastic interventions should be approached with extreme caution, “quite the reverse happened in the field of gender care [sic] for children.”

However, the report was not well received by the CBC, which ran an article criticizing the report and the U.K.’s recent decision to ban puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones for youth under 16.

“While experts in the field say more studies should be done, Canadian doctors who spoke to CBC News disagree with the finding that there isn’t enough evidence puberty blockers can help,” the CBC wrote.

However, as Peterson pointed out, the CBC only interviewed pro-LGBT doctors who supported their agenda, including one who suggested that “transgender” surgeries are as natural as giving birth.

“That would be kind of like saying for a pregnant woman, since we lacked randomized clinical trials for the care of people in pregnancy, we’re not going to provide care for you… It’s completely unethical,” Dr. Jake Donaldson, a Calgary physician who treats “transgender” patients, told CBC.

“There actually is a lot of evidence, just not in the form of randomized clinical trials,” he added.

On the same day as the CBC report, Calgary pediatrician Dr. J. Edward Les wrote an article published by the Macdonald-Laurier Institute, agreeing with the Cass Review conclusions.

“If nothing else, the scathing final report of the Cass Review released this week (but commissioned four years ago to investigate the disturbing practices of the UK’s Gender Identity Service), is a reminder that doctors historically are guilty of many sins,” he wrote in his opening line.

Les also blasted the Canadian law, particularly Bill C-4, which banned a number of practices considered to be “conversion therapy,” including “any practice, service or treatment designed to change a person’s gender identity.”

“As far as I know, no one has been charged, let alone imprisoned, since the bill was passed into law,” wrote the doctor. “But it certainly has cast a chill on the willingness of providers to deliver appropriate counselling to gender-confused children: few dare to risk it.”

Indeed, while the CBC was unable or perhaps unwilling to find doctors who agreed with the Cass report, Les is hardly alone in challenging the LGBT narrative surrounding the mutilation of the gender-confused, especially minors.

LifeSiteNews has compiled a list of medical professions and experts who warn against “transgender” surgeries, warning of irreversible changes and lifelong side effects.

Moreover, internal documents from the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) have shown that doctors who offer so-called “gender-affirming care” know that transgender hormones cause serious diseases, including cancer, but prescribed them anyway.

The internal documents, dubbed the “WPATH FILES,” include emails and messages from a private discussion forum by doctors, as well as statements from a video call of WPATH members. The files reveal that the doctors working for WPATH know that so-called “gender-affirming care” can cause severe mental and physical disease and that it is impossible for minors to give “informed consent” to it.

As LifeSiteNews has previously noted, research does not support the assertions from transgender activists that surgical or pharmaceutical intervention to “affirm” confusion is “necessary medical care” or that it is helpful in preventing the suicides of gender-confused individuals.

In fact, in addition to asserting a false reality that one’s sex can be changed, transgender surgeries and drugs have been linked to permanent physical and psychological damage, including cardiovascular diseases, loss of bone density, cancer, strokes and blood clots, infertility, and suicidality.

There is also  overwhelming evidence that those who undergo “gender transitioning” are more likely to commit suicide than those who are not given irreversible surgery. A Swedish study found that those who underwent “gender reassignment” surgery ended up with a 19.2 times greater risk of suicide.

Indeed, there is proof that the most loving and helpful approach to people who think they are a different sex is not to validate them in their confusion but to show them the truth.

A new study on the side effects of transgender “sex change” surgeries discovered that 81 percent of those who had undergone “sex change” surgeries in the past five years reported experiencing pain simply from normal movement in the weeks and months that followed — and that many other side effects manifest as well.

Jordan Peterson considering legal action after Trudeau claims he’s funded by Russia

” I don’t think Trudeau is informed enough to understand what the hell’s going on, period, but certainly not in the broader social media space ”

Canadian psychologist Dr. Jordan Peterson says he is considering legal action against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau after the prime minister accused the popular commentator of being funded by Russian state media.

In an interview with the National PostPeterson emphatically denied ever taking money from Russia, adding that what Trudeau said is a “very serious accusation” that may warrant legal action.

“You should have at least got them right,” Peterson said of Trudeau’s allegation. “I don’t think it’s reasonable for the prime minister of the country to basically label me a traitor and I don’t find it amusing.”

As reported by LifeSiteNews last week, Trudeau claimed U.S media personality Tucker Carlson and Peterson are being funded by the state funded media outlet Russia Today (RT). He also blamed Russia for “amplifying the chaos” surrounding the 2022 Freedom Convoy protests.

Trudeau made the claim last Wednesday under oath during testimony at the Foreign Interference Commission, after he was asked about Russia’s alleged role in the Freedom Convoy.

As a result of Trudeau’s comments, Peterson confirmed to the National Post that he is looking into launching a defamation lawsuit against the prime minister, while at the same time noting that such lawsuits can often be a “losing game” and that they are a “pain, and I’m not interested in being burdened down with that sort of pain, practically speaking.”

“But by the same token, how about you don’t defame me when you’re the prime minister, especially stupidly,” he said.

Peterson said that he has been talking with his family about whether he has, in his words, a “moral obligation to go after him for defamation.”

“He’s not like my neighbour, he’s the prime minister,” said Peterson.

In his interview with the National Post, Peterson said he does not know how he got “dragged into this” because he has never been even “peripherally” linked to Russian funds.

“But I don’t think Trudeau is informed enough to understand what the hell’s going on, period, but certainly not in the broader social media space,” he added.

Peterson also took issue with the notion he is somehow a Russian stooge, saying, “I’m just not involved in this scandalous issue with Russia at all, not a bit.”

“It’s worse than that, because I’ve been informing myself as to foreign media manipulation, in detail,” he said.

As of press time, Carlson, who has been an open critic of the prime minister, has yet to issue a statement in response to Trudeau’s allegations.

Currently, the Commission on Foreign Interference, which is largely focused on Chinese meddling in Canadian politics, is taking place in Ottawa, headed by Justice Marie-Josée Hogue. She had earlier said she and her lawyers will remain “impartial” and will not be influenced by politics. In January, Hogue said that she would “uncover the truth whatever it may be.”

The commission was struck after Trudeau’s special rapporteur, former Governor General David Johnston, failed in an investigation into CCP allegations last year after much delay. That inquiry was not done in public and was headed by Johnston, who is a “family friend” of Trudeau.

Johnston quit as “special rapporteur” after a public outcry following his conclusion that there should not be a public inquiry into the matter. Conservative MPs demanded Johnston be replaced over his ties to both China and the Trudeau family.

The potential meddling in Canada’s elections by agents of the CCP has many Canadians worried as well.

As for Trudeau, he has praised China for its “basic dictatorship” and has labeled the authoritarian nation as his favorite country other than his own.

Peterson for his part has been critical of Trudeau and his Liberal government for years.

$1.4 billion per year: Jordan Peterson calls for end to Trudeau’s massive CBC funding

By Clare Marie Merkowsky

Dr. Jordan Peterson has pointed out that the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), which receives over a billion dollars in taxpayer funds each year, has garnered less than 100 viewers on its last 19 videos, and therefore believes it should be defunded.

In an August 31 post on X, Peterson, a best-selling Canadian author and clinical psychologist, implied that that the CBC is massively overfunded considering its dismal engagement numbers with the public.

“1.4 billion per year: CBC subsidies from @JustinTrudeau,” Peterson wrote. “Not counting paid ads.”

“The last 19 CBC video releases on @YouTube have <100 views Each,” he continued. “That’s $14 000 000 per viewer. Let that sink in.”

Peterson further called on Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre to hold to his promise to “Defund the CBC,” if he is elected prime minister.

A screen shot posted on X from the same day as Peterson’s post shows CBC’s latest videos receiving between nine and just under two hundred views.

Regardless of their low viewership, the CBC continues to receive massive subsidies from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government. Many independent media outlets and Conservative Party politicians, including Poilievre, have accused the outlet of bias and partisanship because of this dependency on government.

Despite these concerns, the Trudeau government has only poured money into the outlet. Beginning in 2019, Parliament changed the Income Tax Act to give yearly rebates of 25 percent for each news employee in cabinet-approved media outlets earning up to $55,000 a year, to a maximum of $13,750.

The Canadian Heritage Department since admitted that the payouts are not sufficient to keep legacy media outlets running, and even recommended that the rebates be doubled to a maximum of $29,750 annually.

Last November, Trudeau again announced increased payouts for legacy media outlets, payouts which coincidence with the lead-up to the 2025 election. The subsidies are expected to cost taxpayers $129 million over the next five years.

Similarily, Trudeau’s 2024 budget outlined $42 million in increased funding for the CBC for 2024-25.

The $42 million to the CBC is in addition to massive media payouts which already make up roughly 70 percent of its operating budget, and total more than $1 billion annually.
