John Stossel on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion training – “It’s a minefield now.”
From StosselTV
All big companies now require “DEI” training for employees, but studies say that often BACKFIRES. One study looked at 800 companies, and found that after companies did trainings, they actually came to have FEWER black managers. How is that possible?
Erec Smith, a former DEI trainer, now a Professor of Rhetoric at York College, tells me: “It seems to be making people less likely to interact with people who are unlike them … because it’s like a minefield now.”
He explains that the trainings can make people so afraid of saying something wrong, that people just avoid each other. “If you ask somebody what they do for a living, somehow that’s racist, right? If you learn that, then why would you take a chance?”
That’s the just the tip of the iceberg, regarding DEI’s problems. Watch this video for more strange ideas that come from it, like “try to be less white” and the idea that some kids don’t need to learn standard English.

The ESG Collapse: Al Gore, Intel, BlackRock, and the Failed Promise of “Sustainable” Investing
From StosselTV
For years, investment firms pressured companies to hire people of certain races and genders, and pushed “sustainability.” That has hurt returns.
Investments that claim to be “sustainable” have been underperforming. It’s because companies that embrace “ESG” woke investing end up prioritizing politics over innovation.
Intel, once a leader in the tech world, wasted millions on ESG goals. Now, it lags behind its competitors. Its stock is down more than 70%. “You have a company that’s absolutely failing!” Says Matt Cole, CEO of Strive investment managing.
Even BlackRock, which led the “ESG” push, now backs away from ESG investments. “What you’re seeing today,” says Cole, “is ESG funds shuttering at record speed.”
Our new video explains why.

Why Students Are Miserable: The Coddling of the American Mind
From StosselTV
Many colleges no longer teach critical thinking. They teach censorship. And victimhood. These ideas make students depressed and anxious.
The new documentary, “The Coddling of the American Mind,” ( thecoddlingmovie.com ) tells stories of students who fell for the indoctrination.
Before college, Kimi Katiti was full of confidence. But at the Art Institute of California, she learned she was a victim. “I was introduced to microaggressions,” she explains. “This set of thought processes was really unhealthy and was making me miserable.”
Lucy Kross at Stanford was taught that Ben Shapiro’s ideas “put black, brown, trans, queer, and Muslim students at risk.” She found that embracing woke language made her more popular. “When I started to use the vocabulary of like, marginalized, intersectional, hegemonic…People just kind of smiled a little bit more.” Over time, she, and others, concluded that such ideas hurt her.
Our new video looks at their experience navigating campus indoctrination, and how they escaped it.
After 40+ years of reporting, I now understand the importance of limited government and personal freedom.
