Subway tiles are simple, elegant, modern and versatile. They are whatever you want it them to be. Generally, subway tile are small to medium size and rectangular in shape but that’s where general ends. We’ve all seen how great white subway tile look as a backsplash in a kitchen. You can literally pair any decor with white subway tile and have it look great. That being said, if you are looking for a little more “wow” while still keeping that budget in mind, why not consider creative ways to lay those standard 3″ by 6″ tiles that will have your space looking just a little different?

If you want to add a bit more distinction to your home or design project, try swapping out the typical porcelain subway tile to a sleek and modern glass subway tile!
Another option that has been around for a few years and seems to still be going strong, is taking the classic subway tile, but adding a stone or mosaic accent strip for that custom look. Mosaics can add an interesting pop of color or texture. It allows you to spice it up and add some of your own personality.
To sum it up, subway tiles are attractive, inexpensive and classic. A look that will never go out of style!
