Vote for the Red Deer Royals Fieldhouse in Aviva Community Fund Contest
The competition will award $100 000 to the project garnering the most votes. The first round of voting ends October 28, 2016 and the top 15 projects will advance to the next round. Please show your support and vote today. https://www.avivacommunityfund.org/voting/project/view/16-343 The Fieldhouse is the only Aviva Fund project in Red Deer in the Community Health Category.
The fieldhouse will be part of St. Joseph’s High School and will be a recreational facility available to the community in the quickly growing area of North-East Red Deer.
The band is approaching its 50th anniversary but has never had a permanent home for rehearsals and performances. They have used schools, pavilions designed for agricultural/livestock shows, an empty strip mall and an airport hangar.
.A long-term agreement with Red Deer Catholic Schools will ensure that The Royals have appropriate rehearsal and performance space well into the future. This facility includes designs specifically to meet the needs of a large marching show band and will include acoustic equipment appropriate for the band.
The Alumni Association has been working diligently and have currently met 65% of its ,700,000 commitment to the field house; a facility that will benefit the entire community, as well as the youth of the Red Deer Royals Marching Show Band.
