It’s Your Rock n’ Roll Duty! Kim Mitchell Thursday with Chilliwack
KIM MITCHELL
Kim Mitchell, the iconic Canadian rocker, will co-headline the second night of Westerner Days alongside Chilliwack.
Kim Mitchell, known for hits like “Rock N Roll Duty”, “Patio Lanterns”, and “All We Are”, will perform at Westerner Days on Thursday, July 20 on the ENMAX Centrium Main Stage, presented by 106.7 The Drive and 100.7 CRUZ FM. Doors open at 7:00pm with the concert starting at 8:00pm.
“We are very excited to welcome Kim Mitchell to Westerner Days,” says Ben Antifaiff, CEO and General Manager, Westerner Park. “Kim is full of creative energy and enthusiasm. We know he will put on a great show and add to our celebration of community.”
Kim Mitchell is a gold and multiplatinum selling artist with three Juno Awards and a SOCAN 100,000 Radio Plays Award to his credit. He is a gifted and peer-respected guitar player as well as an acclaimed songwriter, having penned and recorded numerous classic hits.
We are happy to have Kim Mitchell on board to preform at Westerner Days to compliment Chilliwack for Thursday’s night performance of Canadian classic rock. It is a great compliment to have Kim Mitchell perform in place of Kenny Shields and Streetheart in light of their recent news. Thursday night in Red Deer… Go For A Soda!
CHILLIWACK
Rising out of the ashes of psychedelia in 1969, Canada’s legendary Chilliwack released 12 albums over a 15 year period producing numerous Canadian and international hits including “Lonesome Mary”, “Fly At Night”, & “California Girl” in the 70’s; and “My Girl (gone gone gone)”, “Whatcha Gonna Do” in the 80’s.
All this work led to fifteen gold and platinum certifications, a host of awards, high profile TV appearances and coliseum concert tours. Chilliwack’s reputation for consistently powerful shows continue, and with the live CD THERE AND BACK still winning over new fans and delighting long time ones,
Bill Henderson and the band are rocking like never before. Hearing the revitalized Chilliwack of today is like hearing those songs for the first time… all over again. Here’s “My Girl”… a little piece of Canadian Music History!
