RDC Curling | Feb. 24-26 | ACAC Curling Championship | Vermilion Curling Club
Lakeland College will be hosting the championship in Vermilion. The Red Deer College Men’s Curling team will enter the event as the top team in their division. The RDC women’s and mixed teams will also be competing for ACAC gold.
Queens Hockey | Friday, Feb. 24 | 7:00 p.m. | GMU
The Red Deer College Queens finished 3rd (31 points) in ACAC Women’s Hockey during the regular season and will face the 2nd place MacEwan University Griffins (32 points) in the best of 3 semi-final series. The Queens finished the regular season with the 2nd most potent offence and 2nd best defence in women’s hockey. The Griffins scored the 3rd most goals but allowed the fewest in the league. During the regular season, the RDC Queens won 4-of-6 meetings between the 2 squads. A pair of wins came at the ENMAX Centrium and 2 victories were earned in Edmonton so the Queens are very comfortable opening the playoffs on the road.
Kings Hockey | Friday, Feb. 24 | 8:15 p.m. | Concordia University
In Edmonton, the Kings face-off against the Concordia University Thunder in a regular season matchup. Both teams have qualified for the playoffs. In the ACAC Men’s Hockey standings, the Kings sit in 5th spot with 26 points. The Thunder occupy 6th spot and have 17 points.

In an afternoon tilt, the RDC Queens compete against the MacEwan University Griffins in game 2 of the series.
Kings Hockey | Saturday, Feb. 25 | 7:00 p.m. | Penhold Multiplex
In a rematch, the Kings compete against the Thunder in their final regular season game.
Queens Hockey | Sunday, Feb. 26 | 6:00 p.m. | ENMAX Centrium
If necessary, game 3 will take place in Red Deer.
