The City of Red Deer Wants To Help You With Your Holiday Cleanup.

Red Deerians will have some access to free extra tags for their garbage bags this Christmas Season.
Currently, Red Deer has a three bag limit of garbage per week for each household, with the City now providing four extra tags to put out with your waste over the next several weeks.
Tags for the Holiday Season usually cost a dollar, however, until January 15th, the four tags you may require will be free and can be picked up at recreation facilities and City Hall.
In a release, Janet Whitesell, Waste Management Superintendent says, “We know holiday celebrations can create more household waste than usual,” she also adds, “I would like to remind residents of the many simple things they can do to reduce the amount of waste they generate during the holidays, like using reusable gift bags and ensuring that numbered plastics are recycled in the blue boxes. And, as an extra bit of help for those residents who still find themselves over the waste limit, we’re offering the free extra waste tags.”
