Festival Of Trees Officially Underway In Red Deer!

Red Deer’s 23rd annual Festival of Trees is officially underway at Westerner Park and it’s a great way to enjoy the Holiday Season for a great cause if you aren’t already.

Numerous activities will take place throughout the five day event, with the first one being the Preview Dinner on Wednesday, November 23rd. It runs from 6:00-11:00pm at the Prairie Pavilion at Westerner Park. It’s a formal gala evening designed for event sponsors and features a fabulous dinner, live auction and silent auction.

All the money raised from this year’s Festival of trees will go towards enhancing client care and services in the Medical Specialty Clinic at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre. This is phase two of a two phase project. Phase one was fully funded by the 2015 Festival where over one million dollars was raised.

Other events during the 2016 Festival of Trees include the Appreciation Afternoon, Festival Business Lunch and Taste of Red Deer on Thursday, November 24th. On Friday, November 25th it’s the Festival of Wines. Activities on Saturday, November 26th include the Tis the Season Luncheon, Festive 5K Walk and Run and Mistletoe Magic. The event concludes on Sunday, November 27th with the annual Breakfast with Santa at the Prairie Pavilion. Several Auctions and Raffles will also be taking place throughout the festivities.
