Middle school girls who refused to compete against male banned from next track meet
From LifeSiteNews
Four of the five girls filed a lawsuit against the Harrison County Board of Education protesting the ban while Attorney General Patrick Morrisey said, ‘I will do everything in my power to defend these brave young girls. ‘This is just wrong.’
Five West Virginia female middle school athletes who refused to throw the shot put against a boy after a circuit court exempted him from a state law that prevents males from competing on female sports’ teams have been banned from participating in their next competition.
On April 18, the five girls attended the 2024 Harrison County Middle School Championships track and field meet where they were scheduled to compete in shot put.
The five students stepped out of the shot-put circle without throwing, forfeiting in protest of the participation of an eighth-grade male student presenting himself as a girl during the competition.
After four of the five girls filed a lawsuit against the Harrison County Board of Education protesting the ban, West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey stepped in and wrote an amicus brief on their behalf.
“I will do everything in my power to defend these brave young girls,” Morrisey wrote Monday on X. “This is just wrong. We must stand for what’s right and oppose these radical trans policies.”
“The only thing this decision does is teach these children to keep their mouths shut and not disagree with what they saw as unfairness,” said Morrisey, according to a statement from his office. “That is outrageous and it tramples these students’ rights to freedom of speech and expression.”
“Their actions at the earlier track meet were not disruptive or aggrandizing. They were the quiet demonstration of the student-athletes’ evident unhappiness with the competitive consequences of a federal appellate court’s decision,” said Morrisey, a Republican candidate for governor.
“Rather than being punished for their conduct or being sidelined in an effort to score points, all should commend these young athletes for putting their personal performances aside to demonstrate their discontent with an unjust result that affects them personally and within that event,” he said.
Other conservatives took to X to express support for the banned girls.
“How many young girls are losing opportunities because cowardly liberal and RINO politicians are caving to mental illness?” the Travis Media Group asked.

“You can’t participate in this meet until you admit girls don’t exist,” said the Redheaded Libertarian, “unless you want abortions, because it’s your rights as girls.”

Can’t afford Rent? Groceries for your kids? Trudeau says suck it up and pay the tax!
Watch Canada’s Prime Minister tell an anti-poverty group, your ability to buy “groceries for my kids” is less important than sacrificing to pay his carbon tax.
In case you still thought there might be even the tiniest chance Justin Trudeau might come around.. well this settles it. He is as they say, ‘beyond the pale’.
Sure we’ve pieced this together over the last number of years, but it’s still SHOCKING to see him say it directly, proclaim it proudly. This week Trudeau received applause from an audience of the intellectually suffering at something called the “Global Citizen Now” panel discussion on the sidelines of the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Rio.
Much appreciation for the first short video below to Opposition Leader Pierre Poilievre who shared his ferocious reaction to Trudeau’s anti-human comments, challenging the current PM to call an immediate election.
Or course there will be no quick election call. To Justin, it’s more important to cling to the undercarriage of a taxpayer funded jet so he can fly the globe stunning audiences unfortunately already stunned by their utter terror of losing the planet.
In their horror at their inability to turn the switch off and let us all freeze/starve to death this winter, they applaud lovingly for their intellectual leader/sock model as he describes how hard it is to convince angry, hungry people they really need to suck it up.
If only he read a history book.. any history book.. apologies, any book at all. Truly even spending some time with the literary version of an Al Gore video rant would at lest keep JT occupied so he couldn’t speak for a few moments. I’m pretty sure every time he opens his mouth, the temperature in Canada rises as millions of frustrated hotheads (hello there) explode, spewing steam high up into the upper atmosphere where water particles do much more damage to our planet than the final exhaling of a non grocery-eating-planet-loving-Canadian.
Watch Pierre Poilievre’s video and assuage the ensuing headache by mapping out your route to a polling booth. If this doesn’t sell a couple of those ‘Axe the Tax’ shirts for the Poilievre team, well.. enjoy your stroll to the foodbank.
Here’s a link to his entire discussion. If you have a strong stomach and 20 minutes of your life to donate to a higher cause… No silly, not the intended cause of the anti-poverty group… But to the intellectual cause of understanding just how twisted the logic has become for those who fly around the world to wine and dine, only to break long enough to tell us they think it’s perfectly fine if we can’t buy groceries for our kids.
By the way, please save a bit of your shock and disappointment for the hapless host of the ‘anti-poverty’ Global Citizen. This was apparently on the sidelines of a G20 Summit. I would expect this drivel to be called out at a respectable middle school debate. Apparently the ‘anti-poverty’ Global Citizen people aren’t overly concerned with poverty. Do we need to say that not being able to afford groceries is in fact THE definition of poverty? Or course not. It would be much easier for them to change their name to Former Global Citizens.
You were warned.

Over 40% of people euthanized in Ontario lived in poorest parts of the province: government data
From LifeSiteNews
Statistics from the Ontario Coroner’s Medical Assistance in Dying Death Review Committee show that citizens living in the poorest areas of the province are significantly overrepresented in euthanasia death figures.
Statistics from the Ontario Coroner’s Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) Death Review Committee show that citizens living in impoverished areas are killed by euthanasia at a disproportionate rate.
According to the report, over 40 percent of those euthanized in Ontario live in the poorest parts of the province despite the fact that other reports say only 20 percent of the population lives in these regions, suggesting Ontario’s poorest are more likely to opt for euthanasia than the financially secure.
The report divides the cases into Track 1 euthanasia deaths (euthanasia given to those whose death is reasonably foreseeable) and Track 2 deaths (euthanasia given to those whose death is not reasonably foreseeable). 41% of Track 1 deaths and 48% of Track 2 deaths were of people living in Ontario’s poorest neighborhoods.
However, when accounting for “age and labour-force participation” as “measures of disadvantage,” the Death Review Committee report found that 57% of Track 2 requests came from the poorest in society, while 42% of Track 1 requests were from the same sector.
Interestingly, or perhaps alarmingly, this statistic is not found in other counties, as data from the Netherlands and Oregon found “death under the (Oregon Death with Dignity Act) was associated with having health insurance and with high educational status, both indirect indicators of affluence.”
A culture of death and eugenics
However, in Canada, poverty has become a driving factor among those who end their lives via MAiD. Indeed, the Death Review Committee report is only the latest document to confirm the growing number of Canadians choosing to end their lives, at least in part, because they are poor.
First introduced in 2016, MAiD was initially only available to those who were terminally ill. However, in 2021, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government expanded the deadly practice to be available to those who are not at risk of death but who suffer from chronic illness.
Now, Trudeau’s euthanasia regime has apparently created a culture of death and eugenics in Canada as poor or suffering Canadians increasingly feel that their lives are worthless, and they are a burden to society.
In one case, a Nova Scotia grandmother revealed that doctors repeatedly offered her euthanasia while she underwent cancer treatment, making her feel as though she was “better off dead.”
“I felt like a problem that needed to be [gotten] rid of instead of a patient in need of treatment,” she said. “I don’t want to be asked if I want to die.”
Similarly, in May, LifeSiteNews reported on a Canadian man who felt “completely traumatized” and violated that he was offered MAiD “multiple times” instead of getting the proper care he needed while in the hospital.
Additionally, last month, internal documents found that poverty and loneliness are two popular reasons Canadians are choosing euthanasia, which has left doctors feeling uneasy about the morality of the deadly practice.
Healthcare wait times have ballooned nationwide under the Trudeau government, with the average wait hitting an all-time high of 27.7 weeks.
While access to real care continues to be limited, Trudeau and his government have instead worked to expand MAiD thirteen-fold since it was legalized, making it the fastest growing euthanasia program in the world.
The most recent reports show that MAiD is the sixth highest cause of death in Canada. However, it was not listed as such in Statistics Canada’s top 10 leading causes of death from 2019 to 2022.
When asked why MAiD was left off the list, the agency said that it records the illnesses that led Canadians to choose to end their lives via euthanasia, not the actual cause of death, as the primary cause of death.
According to Health Canada, in 2022, 13,241 Canadians died by MAiD lethal injections. This accounts for 4.1 percent of all deaths in the country for that year, a 31.2 percent increase from 2021.
